Postgraduate Veterinary Certification Programs
The Healing Oasis Wellness Center is an educational institution dedicated to the advancement and teaching of veterinary spinal manipulative therapy, veterinary massage and rehabilitation therapy, and the functional neurology and anatomy that underpin them. We have been teaching licensed professionals since 1998 from our campus in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.
Three postgraduate certification programs
VSMT — Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy
Our longest-running program, covering the functional neurology, anatomy and hands-on technique behind veterinary spinal manipulation, often referred to as animal chiropractic. Taught in modules across canine and equine patients, with laboratory work supervised by board-certified faculty.

VMRT — Veterinary Massage & Rehabilitation Therapy
Extensive supervised hands-on clinical learning in massage and rehabilitation, including therapeutic exercise. All clinical and practical work is contained inside the program: no external externships are required, which keeps time away from your own practice to a minimum.

Veterinary Acupuncture Certification
A hybrid postgraduate program of five sections totaling 132 hours of supervised training, covering canine and equine patients. Sections I, III and IV are delivered online-live; Sections II and V are face-to-face, with extensive hands-on clinical practicums. The curriculum is built on fundamentals consistent with the practice of acupuncture in the United States and with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

What makes these programs different
- Small classes. A maximum of twenty students per class, and we aim to hold hands-on laboratory work to three or four students per faculty member.
- Supervised hands-on, not observation. Clinical work is supervised by board-certified specialists, residents and senior faculty.
- No required external externships. The practical hours are inside the program.
- Case work that is assessed. Students present cases in SOAP format to the program director for evaluation.
- Continuing education credit. Attendees receive CE contact hours for module attendance, with approvals including the AHVMA, an AVMA-HOD-recognized organization.
- Faculty who practice. Our instructors are working clinicians and specialists, several of them board-certified diplomates. Meet the faculty.
Paying for your program
Each program can be reserved with a deposit that holds your seat, with the balance due before the class begins, or paid in full at enrollment. Card payments carry a processing surcharge that is shown at checkout, and payment by check is available for some programs. Healing Oasis alumni and qualifying faculty receive discounts; codes are applied at checkout and documentation is required.
